As the Head of AI & Product, you will take full ownership of the AI agenda and product strategy for Comarch e-Invoicing – a centralized, cloud-based global compliance and SaaS platform connecting over 180,000 entities worldwide. We are currently in a phase of intensive transformation, backed by a global Private Equity fund and building on Comarch’s 30-year track record of technological excellence.

The global e-invoicing market has entered its steepest growth phase to date, driven by the EU's VAT in the Digital Age (ViDA) package and massive new clearance mandates going live across Europe, MENA, and APAC (including Poland’s KSeF rollout). This convergence of regulatory pressure and real-time clearance models is shifting the category toward AI-led automation.

In this strategic role, reporting directly to the Sector’s CEO and joining the executive team, you will act as a single, AI-first owner. Because AI increasingly determines our platform’s architecture, engineering velocity, and competitive advantage, AI will represent roughly 60–65% of your mandate, absorbing CTO-level responsibility for the sector’s technology direction. Your mission will be to turn global regulatory complexity into a durable, commercial advantage.

Candidate Profile

  • Significant leadership experience spanning both product and AI, with AI at the core in B2B SaaS technology companies (10+ years overall)
  • Technology-leadership credibility at CTO level - able to own architecture, engineering standards and technical strategy for a product line, able to partner with senior engineering / R&D leaders
  •  7+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML, including 2+ years working with generative AI, with a documented record of commercialising AI solutions that delivered measurable business value (process optimisation, new products/services, cost reduction)
  • Proven track record of scaling a B2B SaaS product from growth to scale-up stage and owning a product roadmap in a multi-stakeholder setting (CEO, Sales, R&D, enterprise customers)
  • Practical command of LLMs, deep learning, NLP and the modern GenAI stack - including RAG and fine-tuning - and of cloud AI ecosystems (Azure OpenAI Service, AWS Bedrock or Google Cloud Vertex AI)
  • Experience designing and deploying agentic AI systems (e.g. LangChain, AutoGen) and familiarity with MLOps architecture and tooling (MLflow, Kubeflow, SageMaker) for at-scale model lifecycle management
  • Solid understanding of the full SDLC and agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum), and close working experience with R&D and Delivery
  • International mindset - has shipped products across multiple markets; fluent English (C1+)
  • Nice-to-have
    • Domain experience in e-invoicing / e-reporting / tax compliance / EDI / fintech or other regulation-driven enterprise software
    • Experience transforming a legacy / on-premise product into a modern, cloud-native SaaS
    • Familiarity with regulatory and clearance frameworks (ViDA, KSeF, Peppol, SdI, EN 16931)
    • Scale-up or PE-backed growth-environment experience.
    • University degree in a STEM field (computer science, AI/ML, software engineering, applied mathematics or related)

Your Responsibilities

  • Define and own the long-term product and AI vision for Comarch e-Invoicing, and translate it into a clear, multi-horizon roadmap
  • Set and execute the AI/ML/GenAI strategy for the sector - embedding LLMs, RAG, agentic AI and intelligent document processing into the platform and into internal delivery and support workflows
  • Own the sector’s technology direction at CTO level - architecture, engineering standards, build-vs-buy decisions and the AI/data platform the product runs on
  • Reposition the product - sharpen the value proposition and differentiators against global compliance and e-invoicing competitors, in a fast-moving, mandate-driven market
  • Take full ownership of the product lifecycle: discovery, definition, pricing & packaging, go-to-market, adoption, retention and account expansion
  • Drive measurable efficiency and cost reduction by deploying AI tools and autonomous agents that increase the productivity of engineering and business-support teams
  • Enrich existing products with new AI-powered features and oversee their development end to end
  • Partner closely with R&D, Delivery, Compliance/Regulatory, Sales, Marketing and Customer Success - break silos and operate as one team
  • Drive pricing and monetisation strategy: subscription, usage-based, tiering and packaging of AI and compliance modules
  • Bring evidence-based decision making - discovery, customer interviews, product telemetry and AI/data-led insights
  • Engage actively with the Chief AI Officer and AI leaders from other Comarch sectors to share knowledge and align on group-wide AI direction
  • Represent the company externally: analyst relations, strategic clients, technology partners and industry events
